Strip poker anyone?

I can’t help it. Strip poker fascinates me. I’d rather play for money than watch a load of guys strip every time I flop the nuts but I thought it was worth a bit of investigating! I decided to use trusty Google to have a look at the status of strip poker online and - unsurprisingly enough - there’s a whole heap of stuff out there!

The fact that you would even want to play online amuses me greatly. And how exactly does it work? Would you actually remove your clothes in the comfort of your own living room when you lost? I doubt it. I guess it’s a just chance to ogle some of the opposite sex in next to nothing (if you’re good that is) but surely the cash is more satisfying? But how desperate is that? Ha ha!

I have visions of old grannies with their hair in curlers lusting after some taut muscled men getting their kit off every time the old dear cops it on the river. And it’s not a nice vision - so I’ve shared it with you. They say a problem shared is a problem halved…

Weird Wagers (Part 2) - Fun stuff

The second installment of weird wagers looks at the sillier side of betting…

No 1: In 2002, Ian McMillan (38) Devon put a bet on an Elvis, Lucan and Shergar wimbledon final. Sadly, his bet didn’t come off.

No 2: Back in the 1990s, Willam Hill took bets that the world would end at 12.50pm on 11th August 1999 at odds of 1,000,000/1. Bit tricky to celebrate winning that one…

No 3: Back in 1983 the Dallas Morning News used a gorilla to predict outcomes of the American football games. (Only in America!)

No 4: In 2006, Arsenal’s Champions League final victory against Villarreal, saw a squirrel join players on the pitch, disrupting the game for several minutes. Blue Square put odds on the squirrel returning for the next match against Spurs at 25/1, getting over 65 bets. Three customers even bet 5000/1 that the squirrel would score!

No 5: Always got an opinion on other people’s lives? How about betting on these newly-wedded weirdos who have put their mug shots on the internet so you can predict when they will get divorced. http://weddingbetting.com

Now let’s end with an ‘on topic’ joke

A husband and wife were sharing a bottle of wine when the husband said, “I bet you can’t tell me something which will make me happy and sad at the same time.”
The wife thought for a few moments, then said, “Your penis is bigger than your brother’s.”

What’s happened to Casino.com?

It’s a typical day in the office and I thought I’d spend five minutes of my break – like you do –playing around in the wonderful online funhouse otherwise known as Youtube. I rather like the cross dressing 888 adverts (I’m from the same neck of the woods as Vic Reeves so it would be scandal not to) and I’m also rather amused by the poker advertisements considered unacceptable in the UK that Full Tilt are still going to run.

And so I thought, why not see what else is out there? Let’s try Casino.com! So I tried. What came up when I typed in Casino.com – let me tell you –wasn’t what I expected! Unless something has changed …unless something has gone very wrong overnight and I’ve ended up living in a parallel universe. We’re still offering an online casino, right?

Well…it’s had over 70,000 views over the last year so it’s got to be popular somewhere! How about we make it gambling related after all – what’s the odds of one of the girls getting an accidental kick to the shin?

Do You Play Live Dealer Games? So, who is Doctor Stanley Ho?

If you play in online casinos and have a particular love of live games, then you’ll have heard the iconic name of Dr. Stanley Ho. But who is he?  It seems his name precedes him in the windy corridors of online casino fame but very few people actual understand who this guy is! Let me enlighten you…

Dr. Stanley Ho is in fact the one and only being of greatness that first launched live computerised casino games which linked players to live roulette and blackjack dealers. Of course, back in those days, there was very little broadband around and so the connection was…pants. Impossible even!

The software had to be supplied on a CD as it took up too much memory and bandwidth. But the Dr persevered…

Despite the time delays and instability of the early live games, patience and technology won through.  Nowadays, the software can be easily downloaded and the live feeds are stable and as trouble free as the internet can allow.

Just in case you’re not yet convinced of his greatness, Dr. Ho is known in China as Wong Tai Sin which means “god who fulfils people’s wishes”. This is because for the past 30 years he has been the most successful casino operator in Asia; he has even had a street named after him in his honour.
