BACCARAT’S POPULARITY
The casino game, Baccarat has turned out to be the most famous and interesting for even the film makers who have to take scenes in the casinos. Even in James Bond films and novels, the gambling game Baccarat is favored by Ian Fleming’s top secret agent.
Almost in every Bond novel if the secret agent enters the casinos, he plays only the Baccarat game.
In almost every bond film which features the Casinos, they also show the
Video Poker, slot machines, etc. But still only the Baccarat game is played predominantly and the first film to introduce it is Dr. No in 1953 and also in the film Thunderball in 1967, the film gives a detailed description of the baccarat game. Even the new film Casino Royale, a remake of the film Thunderball in the year 2006 shows some new features of casinos. In the previous film the Baccarat game is played in the variant Chemin de Fer, but in the remake “Casino Royale”, the variant is replaced by Texas hold’em poker.
Even the film, Rush Hour-3, the comedian hero of the film Chris Tucker, plays the Baccarat game in the Paris casino.
All the filming done in the casinos is dominated by the Baccarat game and this mainly owes to its popularity among the high society people.
